I am a historian of early America. My research focuses on the history of age, childhood, and youth as well as the histories of gender, family, and law in the early republic. I received my Ph.D. in early American history from the College of William & Mary in 2017; my MA in American History from the College of William & Mary in 2011; and my BA in History from the University of California, Davis in 2009. I currently work as an Assistant Editor of Digital Projects and O.I. Publications at the Omohundro Institution of Early American History and Culture as well as an Assistant Producer of Ben Franklin's World: A Podcast About Early American History. I am finishing up my first book, tentatively titled, Negotiating American Youth: Age, Law, and Culture in the Early Nineteenth Century. This book is currently under contract and forthcoming from the University of Virginia Press.
